We've introduced rice and oatmeal to Tyson a couple weeks ago and just recently added veggies. We've tried squash and peas and, not surprisingly, he likes both! I laugh hysterically every time he eats because when I put the spoon in his mouth, he grabs my hand with both of his tightly, and licks the spoon clean. My funny little kid. I couldn't love him any more!
I added this picture because it was just so cute.

Uneventful Events
Because of recent grief I've recieved for not posting, I will update with a couple pictures of random pictures from this past week. I'm warning you, they're random! Oh wait, Scott's birthday was this past week! I didn't really get any pictures. Sorry Scott, but Happy Birthday anyway!
Tyson enjoying the view!
Just like dad! We got invited to the Omaha Royals (Minor League) baseball game and it was Tyson's first baseball game. We had great seats, but it was sooo humid! This drunk guy in front of us kept turning around and touching Tyson saying "Go Big Red" (wanting Tyson to be a Nebraska Huskers fan). So we went home and dumped him in the tub and washed all his toys. Oh yeah...I cut my hair because the humidity was getting to me but you can't really see it that great. Disclaimer: (For my BYU family) Tyson drooled all over his original shirt and Scott had put the BYU shirt in his diaper bag as a spare. I had no other option and was held against my will.

Golf
It was a Saturday morning and Scott was watching Tyson. Somehow, with only our 4 channels, they manage to find golf. Tyson loved it which makes for one nervous mom. I don't need another sports addict in the house. One is just fine.

Work it Out!
Random shots
These are just some random shots of the kiddo. Tyson moved up into the big boy carseat! In it, he actually looks semi-small!
Tyson and I working out together (actually just going for a walk). As you can see Tyson is completely toned and chiseled in his muscle shirt. I dressed to match. We each had on our red jersey shorts! I know, I'm lame.

Happy 4th of July!
Yesterday we were able to go to the Olympic Swim Trials. They were held in Omaha and were going on all week. We bought tickets off of Craigslist for the evening session last night. It was a really cool experience. All of the seats had t-shirts on them in red white and blue, depending on what section you were in. They wanted everybody to put them on for TV and they also gave us little American flags to wave. They had fireworks going off in the arena and lights. I didn't know a swim meet could be so much fun! It got such a huge turnout (I think around 14,000 for the night). That's the great thing about Omaha, there are no professional sports teams so the people are really supportive of any event that goes on. We were able to see some really cool races (two with Michael Phelps) and some award ceremonies. Tyson did so good, at first the loud introductions and music scared him, but he loved looking around the whole time. The ladies around us loved him, one even took a picture of him. We had him in a little 4th of July outfit that my Aunt Jill gave him. (Thanks Jill!) On our way home, we stopped to see some cool fireworks right above a golf course. It's been awhile since I've been that close to them! It was a great day and we were pooped by the end of it.
The pool from our seats.

Family photo op wearing our free shirts!
It was 10:30 at night and Tyson was still a happy boy!

4 month update!
Tyson just had his doctor's appointment today for his check-up and shots. He is actually closer to 5 months (4 month and 3 weeks). I've been dying to know what he has weighed. So here it is: He weighs 21 lbs. 4 oz. (which is less than I thought) and is 28.5 inches long. Those are both off the charts and his head is in the 96%. We have to get a new carseat now, the one without a carrying handle. This poses as a dilemma since he can't sit up yet and so he won't do well in shopping carts. I went and bought one of those baby carrier/backpack things to use instead. Lovely! I love this picture of him in his overalls (thanks Grandma Turner). I had to put up a cute one because the next one is embarrassing for the little guy.
Also, thanks for all the suggestions I had for my bathtub problem. I went and bought that sling thing from Wal-mart that was recommended. He does love it because he can finally stretch his legs out and splash in the water. However, only after a few times using it, he is getting too long for the board. I put up a picture of it because it is just too funny. Poor guy, he's not going to be very happy with these pics when he gets older but at least I put a washcloth on!
