Blessing Day!

Tyson was blessed this past Sunday and it was a great day. He did awesome as he slept through the whole thing with his arms outstretched. We were worried that the circle couldn't hold his weight! He looked so cute in his outfit and I'm just loving his chubby cheeks. Thanks to all the family and friends who came to suport us. It was fun to visit with those we haven't seen for awhile. We loved visiting with the Johnstons who are good friends of ours and have moved out to Oregon. Their baby is about 4 months old and as you can see, Tyson is about the same size! It was sure nice to visit with everyone!

Fat Boy!

So we just had Tyson's 2 month check up (he's actually 10 weeks) and we learned some fun facts! Tyson weighs 17.5 pounds which is off the percentage charts. He is 25 1/2 inches long which is also off the charts. His head size (which his dad is very proud of) is only in the 90th percentile. None of this comes as any big surprise to us, however. We love our cute chubba bubba!

Hallelujah!

We're finally done with school! Scott graduated from BYU this past Friday with his Master's degree in Statistics. We are officially grown-ups. New job, new baby, new home. I didn't think this day would ever come. I'm so proud of him! It was a fun time with lots of family here to celebrate the big event. For the day, I put aside my U of U pride and allowed Tyson to be very supportive of his daddy in BYU apparel (secretly hoping he would poop all over it)! My camera decided to go on the fritz after graduation, so the ones with Scott, Tyson and our family, didn't work. However I got a picture of Scott accepting his diploma and Tyson all decked out. Congrats Scott!

I had to add this to the pictures and just make the joke, "I know Tyson, this outfit makes me cry too!" That's for all my BYU family members! Love ya!

New home!

Yay! After taking a whirl-wind trip to Nebraska this past weekend, we bought a home! We flew out on Thursday night with a lay-over in Denver. However, our plane in SLC was 1 1/2 hours late, so we missed our connecting flight. The hotels were booked in Denver, so we had to spend the night in the airport.  We didn't want to drive a half hour to a hotel, only to turn around and come back a few hours later to catch an early flight (7 am). Tyson was awesome!  Luckily we had our stroller and the middle part laid flat, so we put a blanket down and he slept better than he does at home! Wish we could say the same for us. Anyways, with much searching and deliberating for 2 quick days we decided to build a home! Thank goodness houses in Nebraska are so insanely cheap! This is a picture of the model.  Now I can be a little more excited to move out there.

First Smiles!

We caught some of Tyson's first smiles tonight and I just had to quickly post them.  It is fun to finally get some recognition after all the late nights and poopy diapers!  He does know us after all!

Sleepy Time!

I love looking at Tyson when he sleeps. He'll suck on his pacifier for a little bit and then spit it out when he's done with it. In this picture it just kind of hangs out of his mouth. He loves to sleep with his hands above his head which Scott calls the touchdown pose. Apparently, his Grandpa Turner sleeps the same way! I also love it when after eating he zonks out on my shoulder with a full tummy!

Easter baby!

Here is more of our little guy.  We figure he is cuter than us, so we'll post more pictures of him. We got Easter pictures taken when he was 5 weeks old. These are some of my favorite shots!  I can't believe he has already reached 6 weeks old today.  It has gone by so fast!
