Happy Pre-Halloween

I was switching out some of Tyson's smaller clothes for the next size up and I found this Hot dog Halloween costume I had bought when I was pregnant last October. I thought it would fit Tyson for sure by the following year. I tried it on him a couple days ago and it barely fit, so I guess he won't be wearing it 2 months from now. He had this look on his face the whole time as if asking, "What are you doing to me, mom?" Good blackmail years from now.

Happy 6 months!

6 months have come and gone since Tyson was born! We had his doctor appointment today and she said, "Now, people are going to say he's big but he's just tall and actually very proportionate." So he not a "fatty" after all! He's 23 lbs and 29.5 inches long. So he grew an inch and gained 2 pounds since his 4 month check up. He's close to sitting up by himself and he's drooling all over the place. I had him in an outfit for 2 hours and his shirt was soaked all the way down to his shorts by his appointment. I probably looked like a bad mom with her wet child, but what are you gonna do? Here are some little pics of my boy. He into grabbing my hair and sucking on my chin. That's right, my chin. He's a weirdo, but looking at his family, I don't think it will change anytime soon! He's also discovered his toes and realized that he can suck on them too. We are just so proud because touching our toes is something neither one of his parents have done in a long time. Don't get used to it Tyson, you've got bad genes regarding flexibility!

This last picture is one where we were in the middle of feeding him his food. In between every bite, he pulls his bib into his mouth and sucks on it. He wants every last bite! He started falling asleep as he was sucking his bib, and then it just stayed there as he took a little nap! Good to the last drop!

Az trip.

We had a busy yet fun-filled trip to Arizona (by we, I mean Tyson and I. Scott stayed behind to work). It was full of family events! We celebrated my Grandma Evan's 80th birthday and got see cousins and family that we haven't seen in awhile. The trip was filled with a slide show of old pictures, breakfast, bowling, a bbq, pool party and baby blessing. It was a whirlwind trip and fun to spend time with family. Tyson was a little out of his element. He's used to a quiet, mellow day at home with mom's full attention and didn't quite get that here. He matched, if not outweighed my sister's child which is 6 months older, but I'm sure they will be good friends when they grow up if Tyson doesn't sit on him first!

This time, Tyson loved the water. Probably because my grandpa's pool is like bathwater! It heats all day in the AZ sun.
Tyson slept while his mom took 2nd place in bowling!! My sister and I with her youngest boy!
My mom and all my siblings together. These are my sweet grandparents. My grandmother has alzheimers, so this trip was for her!
I got to see my sister-in-laws and their kids as well. This is Tyson and his cousin which is a month younger than him. I love how they are holding hands.
It was a great trip, and I wish I had time to see my Az friends! Next time!

Good lookin' bunch!

Tyson is the 5th grandson on my side of the family. My parents wanted to get pictures taken with them to use for Christmas cards and they turned out so cute. I couldn't believe we could get all but one to smile. The first 2 boys in blue and the baby my dad is holding, are my sister's kids The little boy on the end is my brother's boy. Tyson is with my mom. We've got ourselves a basketball team! It's hard to even imagine what this picture would look like with any girls!

Just the boys
